Michigan Adventure!

I was on Facebook the other day and noticed that an old friend from MSU had a pretty cool idea.  He and his wife decided to make it their mission to see every lighthouse in Michigan.  He actually started a blog about it and it provides some good information.  Here is his blog: http://marksmichiganlighthouses.blogspot.com/

Anyways, I thought it might be something that you and Dad would be interested in...I think he mentioned that there are 162 lighthouses in Michigan and you can actually get a "Lighthouse Passport" to get stamped every time you go to a new one.  Sounds pretty cool, and since you and Dad like to take drives and explore little (or big) towns, I thought it might be a fun thing to do!

In keeping with Up North stuff, I just saw this posted on Facebook - Mario Batali's favorite things to do in Northern Michigan.  Mom, I think I remember you telling me about this.  Here is the link to the commercial.  It's pretty cool...

I like it a lot for recipes and for decorating ideas.  You can either print them out as you see them or create a "board" that you can go back to later.  It's pretty cool! For example, I found this picture of a room that I really liked  http://pinterest.com/pin/61080138667062543/
